One Size Doesn’t Fit All
We believe it’s important for families of children with autism to have well-supported therapy options to choose from, because every child and family’s needs are different. We are here to inform families of their options for autism intervention in Manitoba and to advocate for developmental therapies as one option for supporting a diverse group of children.
In short, our vision is
- to see families receive information at the diagnosis about all available intervention programs
- to have training and support for families – within a reasonable timeframe (reduce or eliminate wait times)
- to have training in autism and inclusive education for educators (including early childcare and school teachers)
- to improve transitions between services (ie from early intervention to school years to adulthood)
